About House

When I left Quincy IL and committed to Grinnell College – I can’t say I enjoyed being there. But Herbie Hancock had attended, and with the endowment – even though I was depressed and isolated, I believed I’d find my way. It was a moral decision – to support Liberalism and the Social Justice Movement. What saved me was dancing. I had the opportunity to attend my first “rave” in NYC, 1995. After life-altering violence the house and dance music community created a space for me to feel safe inside my body.

This is what I have to offer – my music. It’s love and pain beyond words.
