Terminal Uniqueness
I created my first set of paintings in Garden City, Idaho with my public studio open to the public every first Friday. I showed these without names or prices to get a feel for what people responded to and I was surprised to discover that favorite paintings are often as unique as the people who chose them. With abstraction people often saw things I didn't mean to paint - I could take pieces further once I had more time to look at them so there were often changes after people saw them or I looked at them longer. With realism people often picked the same favorite. It's only with art and the public that I can experience these pure experiments with meaning. The work will be on exhibition in Plattsmouth, NE on March 29 and April 5, 2025.
My favorite 26 paintings printed for an exhibition in Garden City.
